Economic Growth

The economic growth initiative supports large organizations driving economic development and promote to the vibrancy and sustainability of communities in which we operate. Organizations must be located within the communities we have a site (Ames, Fort Dodge and Sioux Center, Iowa or St. Joseph, Mo.)

Economic Growth Example:
Supporting public/private investments and community partnerships that contribute to overall community revitalization.

Food Security

The food security initiative collaborates with organizations that help food-insecure populations access nutritious food and organizations that increase sustainable agriculture and food security practices.

Food Security Example:
Providing access to fresh foods at local food banks and other feeding/nutrition programs for individuals, families and children where food deserts exist.

STEM Education

The STEM education initiative aims to increase student interest in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math.

STEM Education Example:
Providing on-the-job work experience through internships, externships, classroom lab experiences and other experiences tied to STEM curriculum in traditional school environments, after-school programs, summer programs, or technical programs.

Human-Animal Bond

The human-animal bond initiative supports research, education and other charitable activities that validate the positive impact animals have on human health.

Human-Animal Bond Example:
Increasing the capacity of a therapeutic equine riding center to serve more at-risk and disabled children.
