Express® FP
Reproductive and respiratory disease caused by bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) and other key virus and bacterial antigens can have a significant impact on your herd. A strong reproductive vaccination program is just one of the key steps in preventing potential herd and financial losses.
The Express® FP family of products is among the most complete modified-live virus (MLV) bovine vaccines on the market, and is specifically designed to offer enhanced protection against reproductive diseases in beef cattle. With three vaccine options available for your cow herd — Express FP 3-VL5, Express FP 5-VL5 and Express FP 5 — you have multiple choices at your fingertips for premier protection. Combinations of these vaccines offer the following label claims:
- Prevents persistently infected calves caused by BVD Types 1 and 2
- Aids in the prevention of abortion due to infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus
- A demonstrated 12-month duration of immunity against IBR-induced abortion and against disease including persistently infected calves caused by BVD Types 1 and 2
- Aids in the reduction of infertility, delayed conception or abortion caused by Campylobacter fetus var. venerealis, and leptospirosis caused by five serovars of Leptospira
- Aids in the prevention of respiratory disease caused by IBR virus, BVD Types 1 and 2 and bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV)
- Aids in the reduction of respiratory disease caused by parainfluenza 3 (PI3) virus
- Prevents urinary shedding of Leptospira borgpetersenii serovar hardjo (type hardjo-bovis). Vaccinated animals subsequently exposed to L. borgpetersenii serovar hardjo (type hardjo-bovis) have been shown to clear renal infections within eight weeks of exposure.
- Flexibility in timing of vaccination. Express FP vaccines can be used in pregnant cows or calves nursing pregnant cows as long as the cows have been vaccinated in the last 12 months with any Express FP product according to label directions.
Plus, Express FP products are the first reproductive vaccines to offer a reimbursement guarantee to producers that no calf will be born persistently infected with bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) from a properly vaccinated cow.
