For optimal results administration should occur within 12 hours after birth and preferably within 6 hours of birth. May be administered within 8 hours of exposure, not to exceed 20 hours of age. Colostrum should be fed to the calf prior to administration.
For lambs using aseptic technique administer 2 mL orally as soon as possible after birth. Administer within 12 hours after birth and preferably within 6 hours of birth.

Warning
For oral use only. The efficacy of Bar-Guard-99 may be reduced if administered to calves showing signs of severe diarrhea, mild dehydration and depression. Not effective against diarrhea caused by infectious agents other than K 99 strains of E coli. As good management practice colostrum should be administered to calves and lambs as soon as possible after birth.
