Description
Tetanus Toxoid. Tetguard™ is alum precipitated, purified for vaccination against tetanus. Contains thimerosal as a preservative.

Tetguard is manufactured by a special treatment method that modifies the virulent tetanus bacilli to eliminate toxicity while retaining antigenicity.
Dosage & Administration
Using aseptic technique administer Sub-Q or IM.
Horses, cattle, swine: Administer 1 mL.
Sheep: Administer 0.5 mL.
Repeat in 30 days. Revaccinate annually or prior to anticipated exposure.
Precautions
Store out of direct sunlight at 35° - 45° F (2° - 7° C). Shake bottle well. Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Anaphylactoid reactions may occur following use.
Antidote: Epinephrine
Uses
Tetguard is recommended for vaccination of healthy horses, cattle, swine, and sheep to confer long-term, active immunity against tetanus.
Warning
This product has been tested under laboratory conditions and shown to meet all Federal standards for safety and efficacy in normal healthy animals. This level of performance may be affected by conditions such as stress, weather, nutrition, disease, parasitism, other treatments, individual idiosyncrasies or impaired immunological competency. These factors should be considered by the user when evaluating product performance or freedom from reactions.
