Important Safety Information for METACAM Oral Suspension: METACAM Oral Suspension is for use in dogs only. As a class, cyclo-oxygenase inhibitory NSAIDs may be associated with gastrointestinal, kidney, or liver side effects. The most common side effects reported in field studies were vomiting and soft stool/diarrhea. These are usually mild, but may be serious. If side effects occur, dog owners should halt therapy and contact their veterinarian. Dogs should be evaluated for pre-existing conditions and currently prescribed medications prior to treatment with METACAM, then monitored regularly while on therapy. Concurrent use with another NSAID, corticosteroid, or nephrotoxic medication should be avoided or monitored closely. Repeated use of meloxicam in cats has been associated with acute renal failure and death. Do not administer additional injectable or oral meloxicam to cats. Please refer to the package insert for complete product information or visit www.metacam.com.

The safe use of VETMEDIN has not been evaluated in dogs younger than 6 months of age, dogs with congenital heart defects, dogs with diabetes mellitus or other serious metabolic diseases, dogs used for breeding, or pregnant or lactating bitches. Use only in dogs with clinical evidence of heart failure. The most common side effects reported in field studies were poor appetite, lethargy, diarrhea, dyspnea, azotemia, weakness, and ataxia. Important Safety Information for PROZINC: For use in cats only. Animals presenting with severe ketoacidosis, anorexia, lethargy, and/or vomiting should be stabilized with short-acting insulin and appropriate supportive therapy until their condition is stabilized. As with all insulin products, careful patient monitoring for hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia is essential to attain and maintain adequate glycemic control and to prevent associated complications. Overdosage can result in profound hypoglycemia and death. Progestogen and glucocorticoid use should be avoided. PROZINC insulin is contraindicated in cats during episodes of hypoglycemia and in cats sensitive to protamine zinc recombinant human insulin or any other ingredients in the PROZINC product.
